High Medieval Sampler
High Medieval Available Electronically
May 18, 2005: Morrigan Press Inc. is pleased to announce that the High Medieval Roleplaying game is now available via
DriveThruRPG.
High Medieval is a unique and exciting new roleplaying game. Unlike other games and settings, High Medieval attempts to be historically accurate while still maintaining the fantasy elements that most role-players know and love.
Essentially, the world of High Medieval is an alternate version of our own history where the folklore and legends of medieval cultures are real rather than imagined. Fairies and goblins really do live in the remote areas of the forest and dwarves do mine mineral riches deep in the mountains of the north. Most importantly, magic really exists and is seen as a constant threat by the dominant force in medieval Europe, the Church of Rome.
High Medieval uses an early version of Morrigan Press' upcoming Omni System RPG mechanics. The Omni System will be launched this year at Gencon Indy as a standalone, genre-independent game system as well as the engine behind the much anticipated Atlantis: The Second Age RPG. The Omni System is derived from the critically acclaimed Talislanta 4 rules and mechanics.
The print edition of High Medieval should be available at your FLGS early summer.

Taking over from Shooting Iron Design, Morrigan Press strives to take the exciting and unique world of Talislanta to another level, and build on the cult status that it currently enjoys among gamers. July 26, 2004 - Release date set for the Jeremiah RPG
Mongoose Publishing has announced the release of the Jeremiah RPG. The latest television to RPG title will be hitting store shelves in November. Based on the popular MGM/Platinum Studios television series, the Jeremiah RPG will put players in this dark and gritty post-apocalyptic world after the Big Death. Jeremiah is set in a possible version of our own near-future after every adult on the planet dies in the most virulent pandemic ever to strike the world. More than 6 billion people are killed in what would come to be know as "The Big Death". With disturbing tie-ins to current events, this post-apocalyptic setting will allow players to adventure in a world like our own with one really big twist: the characters have been forced to grow up in an often violent and chaotic world, without adult guidance and supervision, after having been witness to their parents and loved ones dying a horrible death. Technology, consumer goods and even food is now hard to come by, forcing players to use their wits just to survive. Unlike other post-apocalyptic games like Gamma World and Darwin's World, Jeremiah features an all too realistic and plausible explanation for how civilization self-destructed and offers players an opportunity to rebuild the world. The Jeremiah television series was created by J. Michael Straczynski, the same talented mind behind Babylon 5.
The Jeremiah RPG was written by Scott Agnew of Morrigan Press Inc. and is being published by Mongoose Publishing, one of the top publishing companies in the industry.
February 6, 2004 - Morrigan Press acquires Jeremiah license
Morrigan Press Inc. is pleased to announce that we have successfully acquired the right to the television series, Jeremiah.
Jeremiah is an MGM-financed television series airing on Showtime (in the U.S), adapted for television by Hugo award-winning writer/producer J. Michael Straczynski (creator of Babylon 5). This Platinum Studios comics-to-film adaptation, based on the award-winning graphic novel series by Belgian comics creator Hermann Huppen, is the first-ever European comic book to become a live-action U.S. television series and now it is destined to become a full-featured roleplaying game.
Fifteen years after a mysterious disease called The Big Death wiped out everyone over the age of puberty, a loner named Jeremiah (Luke Perry), joined by his cynical friend Kurdy (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) and new mysterious traveler Mister Smith (Sean Astin), makes his way among the survivors, warring rival social factions of young people who must learn to make their own way without the wisdom of those who lived before them. Jeremiah works to build a new world of hope from the ashes of the old...an ordinary young man destined to become an extraordinary hero.
Designed to complement the television show, players of the Jeremiah RPG are free to adventure in any time period from the events surrounding the Big Death to the confrontations between the Western Alliance and Daniel or even later.
The game is being developed under the Open Gaming License put out by Wizards of the Coast™.
